If you're looking for beta-testers in the near future Draken, I'll like to volunteer as well. I've got a pretty sharp eye for catching bugs and grammatical mistakes (just ask Wildbill with BH). Not to boast, but I could probably finish this game in less than a week (literally) as I've played through some of the Japanese version and it doesn't seem that hard in my opinion. Illusion of Gaia... now that was a hard game! No healing items for sale nor leveling up through the means of experience (you get stats up by beating certain enemies)...

Well... As long as I don't have to wait 3 months for you to get through the game.

Oh don't worry, when it gets to that point i'm liable to quit my job just for this, mwa ha ha.

(keep in mind my current job's income is basically unneeded as the V.A. is footing my bills and such while i'm in college)

Bongo` made some big fixes today.. It looks like it's my turn to really take over and do some major work.. I think, as of today, most major hurdles have been crossed!

That's great news Draken! So, have the issues with the menus been resolved (was it with text insertion)? I've been looking through the Japanese version and it does seem kind of menu heavy. It appears quite interesting.

Thanks guys!
Not everything has been solved at this point, but we are getting pretty darned close! The game is quite playable at the point even with the small few issues remaining to be fixed. I have taken off from work next week, so I plan on getting most if not all of the work done on the story for this game. I will be testing throughout everything and making edits where they are needed. Then, I'm thinking I may hand things over to WildBill (if he's willing). In the past, there were certain instances where I would first flesh out a story, and he would then go over it incorporating his own style. I found that the blend worked really nicely, so I'm hoping he's not too busy ;)

I'm ready. This will be a good winter task. I have been polishing World-I some with BH while waiting for more files from Ritchie, taking cues from Recca and Red Soul. I am also spot translating the receiving ports in World-II, just for something to do, but I'm incredibly slow at this.

What we did with L-II and MA, I'm ready to weave my bit into CS and do continuity-of-style tweaks, etc. How's the byte count? Are we passive or active voice style in CS? If passive, don't worry. I know you'll prefer to stick with that. BH is very much active vox, same as Slayers, and we have over a dozen "main" players, not counting extremely gabby foes such as the Palette Girls and the tipsy female Dr. Emes of the Rouge Party! Is CS centered around one main char? Is is okay to turn it back over to you after I do my part and let you run the beta testing updates and fixes? I'm flexible.

Byte count is a little iffy at the moment. There are places where we are actually over by 1 byte!! I'm pretty sure Bongo` can fix this, though. We've been so busy with the dratted menus that we (I) haven't even done anything story-wise. Next week will be my big chance to get some serious testing/editing done.

The game centers around one main character, with a major "heroine" introduced a little later on. The story is all in active voice, so there are no worries there. :) And, yes! I'll give you liberty to make changes as you see, but then I'll be going over everything afterwards and possibly re-editing parts if they seem a bit off... Not that that's going to happen ;)
