The monster on the left is using Cure-all, which looks like a regular attack. I think with enhanced damage. Surely that's not right....
Heh, I believe you're onto something! What a rolling snowball we started by fixing hyphen support. Where Cure-all once fit (wrongly) just happened to be a healing skill. Once that shifted, Cure-all had to land on something. What I need now is the original Japanese, then we'll re-translate it and get everything squared away.

BTW, Grammar nazi's are welcome here, just not in the game itself, hee-hee...! (Poke at Maeson and SylarDean!)

Still need to round up a report on McGee's Magic Eye and play Swordmaster's second save.

HEY, LOL!

Would like some input here. We ran into this long English world thing in SSMS-II (not sure how we'll handle it yet) for elemental weaknesses. The Japanese need a Kanji or two. We have names as long as "Thunder". You get some enemy with weaknesses to everything, and you run off the screen.

I wish we could use icons, but... Okay, we can make them: F, L, E, T, B, W, etc. or Fi, Li, Ea, Th, Ba, Wi. That's about the only games in town with no extra line available.

I agree with Maeson on this one. First two letters would work well. At a glance I knew what they were instantly. Icons would be ideal, but the first two letters would be sufficient.

Does this work?

I could never kill those metal monsters.

That's perfect. I can think of nothing better, given the space restriction.

Steel Worms go down fast with Ice Kiss. Assuming they didn't flee. And Killa's first spell may do 0 damage, but so far has been 100% accurate at causing stun. And it doesn't seem to EVER run out. You can hit 1s and 2s all day until they are dead. There's also a thrown item that causes instant death that seems to work 100% of the time. Although I didn't have very many of them, so that's not a reliable hypothesis.

As for Pugs, I don't remember what these things were called that I fought (Pug-like), but they seemed to be shouting numbers or letters. Sometimes two letter words like "ki" or something. It was really strange. I'll have to find that island again and pay closer attention.

Ah yes, those are Large Goopers.

I'll talk about them in spoilers in case someone rather discover them by him/herself...

Spoiler! :
Those Pugs were like doing a "Kame Hame Ha" kind of attack, they take several turns "chanting" each part of the attack, and then, BOOM!

Their chant goes like this:

O!
Ki!
I!
Gu!! ->Here is when they attack. Is a very powerful physical attack that hits all your characters. Each Large Gooper will do it's own attack, so multiply a very strong attack by 5 and you have a Game Over, unless you're in the final parts of the game or has a high level.

Sometimes the orther changes, or repeat a part of it, but Gu!! is when they attack. At least when I fought them.

They are less dangerous than the Pug Rangers, as they take several turns to attack, and once the Red Pug is on screen he will attack each two turns making him a faster danger, but if you give this guys enough time well, you better run... or have saved before.

Most of this "trollish" enemies are Pugs. I guess they are some kind of "unofficial" mascot like monsters on DQ or FF have concepts like these.

There was another weird monster with a big green face and "human-y" legs that also is a total douche.

Ah! I see. Yeah, that was one of my extremely rare Game Overs. lol

I shall also use this magic spell called "spoiler tag".

Spoiler! :
They are found on a least one of those southern-most islands. Towards the east. There is a lake on the island. That's where I found them, at least.

You can find the monster I was talking about here:

Spoiler! :
Image

They have an brown-ish orange tone, so they are easy to see and not confuse with blue or Pug Rangers.

Oh, i see in the list of monsters you have the Large Gooper now there...

Found a few more minor errors.
Image
"dragon's" should not contain an apostrophe.

Image
There is an extra space between "I" and "can't".

Image
"C'com" I assume is supposed to be "C'mon".

Image
"Fossile", of course, should drop the "e".

That's all I found last night at work. Along with a secret treasure room containing a powerful armor and shield. (Water Armor and Water Shield) Good thing I didn't sell that Ancient Key. lol

Finally... quick 'n' easy fixes! Along with everyone's the past few days, deserves a hotfix.

This fixes these four, the attempted better message in the Wind Tower (still untested) and other odds and ends including the McGee Magic Eye. Bongo` needed an assembly revision on the McGee Eye.

I still haven't done anything with the elemental weaknesses, so those will still overrun until we investigate icons and decide. I also don't have revisions on Maeson's battle messages yet. I need to finish rebuilding about four PCs before I get to that one. (mucho trouble with the PCs - two 2-TB WD HDDs "out of warranty" with bad sectors to replace and two blown power sources - so far...)

Also fixed the "steel" monster and the other one. I must still find the Japanese script on the monster that uses Cure-all.

Nice!

Do what you need to do, as this can wait, and there is no need to hurry either!

And besides... I made some changes to the text files I made because there are things I could have made or said in a better way...

And a lot of typos...
And I even missed a couple of conversations...

So please, when you need it, remember to download the lastest version...
