Just writing down (typing in) witty remarks such as one character might say to another, based upon the raw translations and my edits, given their friendships, rivalries, and overall interpersonal relationships.
I don't know if I can do a good job about it, but i'll try!
EDIT: There is soooo much text here, wow... There are only a few lines for each combination, but because Hero->Bird, and Bird->Hero have different lines, the number of combinatios multiply by 2.
I already finished four characters, almost finished another two, and I have bits and pieces from al the others, making a small note of each one giving my opinion of each outcome.
It will take a little longer than I thought.
I should have gotten this information to you sooner, but since I'm taking a road trip today and will be gone for a few, the wife nailed me last night to drink wine and watch three consecutive episodes of T. J. Hooker to end the second season!
So, here are the three long battle or other kinds of character message blocks. Just bring in your suggested changes below the existing lines for each string, if you have time and feel up to it!

Hey, this is massive, I know, but we've never seen these lines in the game. You don't have to do this job if you don't have time. If you still want to try after seeing the scope of it, there's no rush or deadline. The main thing is that we have no text overruns. We can put out revisions anytime.

Sorry to hear about your woes, Swordmaster... Just to pipe in here... I tried this out with a VERY early version of the translation (too lazy to patch a new rom ), and I was unable to reproduce the error. Specifically, after I choose Killa's throw command, a list of throwable items appears, and I am UNABLE to move the cursor UP as you specified. What does this mean? Well, maybe the bug wasn't introduced yet in this SUPER early version I tested, or maybe something else was going wrong... I'd try a new rom, but I'm off to bed.
Edit: Tried again with a current rom (who needs sleep!), and still cannot reproduce the steps... Once in the throw screen, you cannot scroll up to your equipped weapons. I can back out of the scroll screen to the item screen, where I can see the equipment, but everything looks fine...
Edit 2: Found it!!! Killa was in the lead and I had McGee last in my party. Crashed the game by throwing the fake equipped weapon after scrolling up in the thrown screen. Tried again, and so far it looks like you must have McGee in the party... Didn't try it for every single character party setup, though.

Drakie, you'll never get sleep when something such as this is poppin'. You've got the bug that causes the itch, and it's INCURABLE!
Edit: I don't need to try to replicate it now. It's in Bongo`land, along with the shadow menu buggie. Or, I may try to replicate it in the Japanese ROM.

Don't worry, Wildbill. It can be seen as a chore, but it's also a little funny to see the reactions of some combinations.
For now I have all the combinations for Hero, Bird, Kyra, Zardo and Tokia. The others are half way there. I'll try to see them all in-game to be sure that all of them work.
Another thing i've discovered is that there's also a line if you try to attack yourself (Hero->Hero, Zardo->Zardo, etc) so that's another group of comments I have to look at.
I made a break to eat something, i was hungrier than Poyon. And that's saying something!
I've seen a lot of the block 004 and 005 through "attacking" each other. There are a couple of conversations that I don't know how to interpret, mostly because the animations don't help clearing who says what. Or simply I miss the point entirely, which can happen.
About technical problems, I'm making screen shots for a glitch that happens a few times (very few in comparison with the number of messages i've seen, it happened like 3 times only) where a part of the first letter in the line will disappear, and I think a couple of conversations have a weird way of displaying the sentence (Like having the entire sentence but the last word in one line, and then the last word in the next line), but besides that, which aren't big problems, everything has been working well.
As I write this i'm doing the text files, so i'll finish soon enough!
Hero and Bird (This shows 1st, who is "attacking" and 2nd, who is "attacked")
Narrator (The name of the character that talks in case of the Hero, I used Narrator as it's told in that perspective) "Hero thanked Bird..." (Lines of the 1st character) Bird (The second character in the conversation) "I'll always be loyal, so..." (2nd character lines) "Don't worry about me!" This seems to work fine, as is mentioned through the game that Bird is a just and honorable person. (A personal opinion based on how the characters felt through my playthrough)
I know it's not all you needed, because you asked for what could they say in a wittier fashion, as this are raw translations, but I don't know if I'm important or good enough for it and I really don't want to put my hands all over other people work.
I can try if you want, as the long part was making the lists and seeing how everything worked.
There's also 3 screenshots with the small 1st Letter bug, it only happened three times, that's almost nothing compared with all the text!

There are a lot of battle messages between party members I think. It was like first in the giant file that I looked at, and thus I was pretty confused. I don't think I ever looked back at those much. Anyway, I think it goes from 4:0 to 5:150 though the last parts I have stuff like Poyon trying to eat/lick everyone in the party and kupi giving everyone compliments.

Odd that the first and only time I checked out the Throw skill McGee was in the party. I had a feeling it would be present in the original Japanese ROM.
I would like to point out that I rarely use states with this game. And when I do load a state, I try to save to .srm as soon as possible, then close the emulator and load it back up. With all that said... I found another typo. lol "than than"
Also, another one of these... The "s" is the very end of Holy Drop's description. As far as I know, it's the only item with enough letters to see this.
One more thing. It's not a report, as I'm sure it was intended even in the Japanese ROM. I just don't know why. Should I really be able to sell this? lol

McGee's Magic Eye skill is just broken.
And the description of Kyra's Ice Kiss is a bit misleading. What it actually does is damage the entire enemy group exactly equal to her current HP minus 1, leaving her with that 1 remaining HP. Which is immensely useful against the Steel Worms in the screen shot. (If they don't run first...)
