Yep, Doug, it seems good now. I didn't need to condense or restructure anything from before. Basically, we ran out of text space. The text overrun was overwriting where menu dat was stored. We even went back to the larger font. Bongo` is a whiz at redirection, compression, and squeezing every drop of storage space out of a ROM. Right now, we have about 41,000 bytes left. Menus work again, and I saw the finish of Scenario 5 today.

i did give you the space. I just didn't bother to structure the data better.

Quick update...

WB is (finally) just about finished with his edits... This is HUGE progress, and means that final beta testing will begin shortly. Put your names in if your are interested in testing... I know that I may have lost the people I initially had lined up seeing as how it has been a couple of years.

I check this place every few months, every time I find something that reminds me of this game, today I saw some sprite rips from this game and decided to check back.

I don't understand how I always remember the name of this site and all.

Anyway, hook me up for testing, make sure to tell me what I'm supposed to do, otherwise I will just play the game and report back when I find something broken.

You can reach me on this email.

Edit: Wow I would call that luck, you made that post a couple days ago, I check this place once every four months or so ( I would go mad with expectation if I did it any more).

I can help with testing on real hardware if you guys are short-staffed.
I sent a PM to Draken with the details :)

Thanks for the interest, you two. PM sent DougRPG.

As a tester, you would be expected to complete the entire game. While playing, of course, you'd be looking for any bugs dealing with graphics or text bubbles (or whatever else). Also, even if you may not be editing experts, grammatical errors should be reported. Finally, if there is anything dialog related that was ambiguous.... strange... or seemed off, feel free to report it as well. Don't be afraid of hurting my feelings. :) Snapshots and SRM/Saves would be best for anything bug-related. Grammar/Story errors could also include snapshots, or just write down what you were reading on-screen.

Let me know if you are still interested.

Of course I am also still in the lineup of beta-testers :)
I will probably first play with emulator and later on continue on real hardware once I got my sd2snes back.

I'd like to participate in the beta-testing too and would like to play it on real hardware.
