Byte count is a little iffy at the moment. There are places where we are actually over by 1 byte!! I'm pretty sure Bongo` can fix this, though. We've been so busy with the dratted menus that we (I) haven't even done anything story-wise. Next week will be my big chance to get some serious testing/editing done.

The game centers around one main character, with a major "heroine" introduced a little later on. The story is all in active voice, so there are no worries there. :) And, yes! I'll give you liberty to make changes as you see, but then I'll be going over everything afterwards and possibly re-editing parts if they seem a bit off... Not that that's going to happen ;)
Sounds good. I'll await the package.

Did my bout of serious dialog/game testing today... phew! This game is a PAIN for testers. Most scenarios have 3 different paths that you can follow... It's driving me nuts! I have to keep replaying the damn levels over and over.. I've gotten the first two pretty seriously tested, though.

I had a feeling this game would be very non-linear. Feda was sort of that way, with endless permutations. It's tedious enough when you have two genders, but multiple options or characters appearing or leaving based on how many enemies you kill drove me nuts in the Feda writing, trying to see every string in the files on the screen! Multiple endings are a pain, also, when you're not sure what triggers them. I hope you have a CS cheat that makes it a bit easier when the goal of concentration is navigating, repeating, and finding - not simply playing, managing resources, and surviving.

I've got the "Energy" and "Sentan" cheats up to help me get through that Enchanted Cave part a little more quickly, but that isn't really the area of the game that is causing the most problems... With a lot of NPCs that you meet, you have multiple, multiple dialogue options that result in different conclusions... It's very annoying..

This is great news Draken! By the way, do these NPCS (not the Senju) that join the hero, stay with you throughout the entire game or do they only help you during a certain stage of the game? I'm also interested in what the bosses are like if there are any. CS is another rare jem like BH and Record of Lodoss War which not many know about. There's little info on it from what I've seen...

Phew!!!! Another full day of testing, and I only got through ONE SCENARIO!! Argh!
@Recca: NPCS will stay with you throughout an entire scenario.. Unless you say something that angers them. They don't stay with you for the entire game, though, and you'll understand why when you play the game ;) Also, there are indeed bosses. I just got done fighting a really hard guy named "Wan Sougen". I also fought a pretty cool Phoenix earlier today :)

After hours and hours of work, I only got through about half of a Scenario... It's rough going, and it takes a long time to get through each Enchanted Cave sequence. It's nice to see that I've run in to the game's "heroine" (you name her at the naming screen). I doubt that I'll have it totally tested this week, but I'll definitely have a nice start. Testing/checking this game is a real PAIN! The scenarios I'm on now has 4 different "good" endings, and they'll all have to be tested out. I'll probably bring in some beta testers after I've gotten a couple play-throughs of each scenario under my belt.

This was my last day of intensive testing, and I must say that I got pretty dang far! So far I have played through 6 of the games 10 scenarios. Though I have not seen every possible ending of those 6, I have gotten the guts of each scenario tested. I'll definitely go back through each one and explore each ending, but that will be a much speedier process. I must say that the game got CRAZY hard for me at the end of the sixth scenario. The three bosses handed my ass to me... I loaded up saves a couple of times, but I just gave up in the end...
