Title: Shelldorado Legends

In ancient history, the exploits of a hero long past. The world was plunged in a black fog
known as fear by the Great Demon King Fat Badger who came from the underworld. Those that
saved the world from that predicament, were the four heroes who collected the four shells
of Fire, Water, Earth, and Air that protect Shelldorado. Despite the danger they took up
the mantle of the fight against the Demon King, to the very end, they succeeded in sealing
Fat Badger inside a sphere. And so that Fat Badger could not be unleashed again, they
buried this Aura Sphere deep underneath Dorado City - in the middle of Shelldorado.

One worrisome sign in the midst of the peace that returned to Shelldorado was that one of
the shells, the fire shell, was sent far away across dimensions, and was lost. This anxiety
over the shell passed over a long time, and will come to pass soon.

Everything started when alarge meteor fell to Shelldorado. It caused an earthquake due to
its tremendous impact, and the beautiful landscape of Shelldorado was transformed in an instant.
And at the same time, a tsunami washed away the three protective shells. The elder of Shell
Beast Island, Hermit Crab, sensed an ominous portent, called forth 3 shell beasts, and sent
them on a quest to find the shells. But as if this wasn't bad enough, frightening incidents
assaulted Shelldorado. The night that the 3 shell beasts left, like a light that pierced through
darkness, the aura sphere that was buried deep underground fell down onto Shell Beast Island.
Is this a sign of the revival of Fat Badger? Hermit Crab sensed the evil, finally, sent his
prayers to the heavens for the world's last hope via the sacred ceremony.

And so, a lone boy descended onto Shell Beast Island. It is he, and he alone, that can be
called the legendary "Hero of the Fire Shell". With the purpose to light the fire of peace
through this land once again.

## Page 9

world is in your hands.

appear near the beginning of your quest.

Title: How to have a more fun quest

It's boring to just make it your objective to clear the game. The unexpected is
also an adventure in and of itself. Some devices have been prepared that will
make for some fun "happenings" throughout Shelldorado. These will have a large
effect on your goal, and some may not have any relation at all to your quest,
and so take a ride on the wild side and pay attention to them. [ed last sentence is embellished]

Subtitle: My Town System

town, and certainly something nice will happen because of it.

Subtitle: Battle Talk System (BTS)

characters. And at the same time, not just a conversation, but several
effects may occur such as MP restoration, attack power increases, and
status effect restoration. If you try it out, you'll find what timing
produces what effect, and put it to good use.
