While waiting for WB to bring me some more CS stuff, I've continued on with Star Ocean for the PS3. I've almost gotten to the last boss, and I'm feeling a lot more interest for the story than I did when I put the game down to tackle FFXIII.

Still in the middle of FFXIII and I'm slowly working on playing Suikoden I-V in order. Just finished Suikoden I last night. Surprising to me it took me less than 17 hours this playthough and I got all 108 stars. Not to mention probably 10% of that time was spent getting money from the gambler dude. :)

Just finished playing Nier and I REALLY liked it! Best RPG I've played in a while. Though it has lots of farming for items and fetch sidequests that can get a little annoying, the game has a killer soundtrack, and very likable characters. I'm really looking forward to going back through to get the other endings that are available. I highly recommend this game if you're looking for a good action rpg to play.

Oh man, if you haven't done a New Game + with Nier yet, you're totally in for a treat. It picks up just after the timeskip when you free the thing you locked in the library's basement, except it's now all pretty much told from Kaine's perspective - not only can you hear what her inner demon is telling her, she has the added... ahem, benefit of... well, I won't spoil it. Suffice it to say that I spent most of that first NG+ feeling like a right asshole.

Also, if you want to preserve your hard work AND get the final ending, you'll probably want a memory card or flash drive or something. It, uh, forces you to make a deliberate choice which erases all of your save files.

Yeah, I played though and got the second ending, but I haven't gone back for the third/fourth. I did read about the game erasing that happens, though... I'm really hoping for a sequel :)

I just picked up Nier the other day for $20 new. Everything I've heard and seen about the game seems great. I also grabbed Hyperdimension Neptunia before it disappears from circulation.

In anticipation of playing those I've been clearing my game queue including playing some Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai Portable which I've been posting YouToube videos for: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p ... 63CA54AD9B

I'm also playing White Album again, hoping to finish up a playthrough of that soon. I'll probably do a video review of that and possibly a tips video. I haven't really known what to make of it so far. It's not quite like any dating sim/anime/VN style game I've played before. It's growing on me. It may take quite a bit of time to tease the full experience out of it though. I'm 20hrs in and I've only gotten 5% of the trophies. :( I think they are as follows: 1. Went on a date with Mana. 2. Was nursed by Rina. 3. Maxed out one of the dialog skills. The music is quite nice.

The Devil takes notes from Lina Inverse? That sounds about right.

While laid up with bad wheels since Valentine's Day, I have knocked out NDS DQ-VI. This is the best commercial play I've had since NDS DQ-V back in 2009. Even though I have several major problems with that European company's DQ ports in general, their DQ-VI rendition was well written, overall.

I actually went to two of those Best Buy events that Nintendo did for Dragon Quest. I was hoping to get some more dreamshard tags from Dragon Quest 6 but only ended up with 6. I need 10 to open up a new character and I think 20 for another character. Most of the people showing up were for Dragon Quest 9 so I did pile up quite a few tags for that game. I also ran into a few people with knick knacks for DQ5 and traded those as well.

Must we be in proximity to nab those dreams? I was wondering if my machine grabbed data automatically from stray unprotected internet hits, but since I didn't see a loading feature to cruise available signals, select one, and enter a password, I assumed not.

Yeah you basically have to be within 20 feet or so to receive the tag. Unfortunately that makes it really hard to get the required number of dreamshards.
