I'm fine of course with defaulting the file names to SlayersE. I shouldn't have any trouble organizing save states to go back and test changes if they are made although it looks like BSNES uses a very large save state folder if all the slots are used and would not have separate individual save state files. BSNES holds something like 25 save states in one file I believe.

I tried using BSNES on my laptop and it does work fine so I could use it but playing time would be more concentrated to Friday through Sunday but I think I could still put in a decent amount of hours. I usually use SNES9x 1.51 like Alexander does so that would be the other option depending on what Red Soul, Wildbill, Filler etc think. I could try BSNES if you would like me to. So I guess it depends on variety vs. uniformity.

I've never used a debugger before and I'm not familiar with what you mean by M10R2 so I'm not sure if that rules me out as a tester if I lack the technical expertise.

EDIT: If SNES9x is the choice, what version should I be using?

Oh don't be silly Ultpaladin. I know zip about debugging ^.^' its just really the version number of the latest S9XD, it can be used as normal, but for the sake
of save state compatibility (and Bongo's debugging ease) I just thought it was better to use M10R2 (nothing more than the internal name for Snes9X 1.51 with debugger).
By the way, its great to have you and Alexander to help me with this, thanks.
I think the best we should do is go with M10R2 to help with debugging, and later use BSNES for stability checks and such.

Edit: Thanks for reading the guidelines I posted, I know they were long and daunting, but hopefully you didn't think it was nonsense.

Speaking of save RAM, did you ever get my report on that Bill?
Certainly did. That reconfirmed why I couldn't convert anything for Bongo`, but I did send him a BSNES SRAM and package of save-states at the end of the game (.bsa file).

No, it does not rule you out. All Bongo will need for tracing a major glitch (such as a screen or menu suddenly pixelating or "blowing up") is a save-state and ideally an SRAM from SNES9x V1.43 specifically, if we fix the SRAM feature in that emulator. Later versions of SNES9x do not have the debugger mode that he requires. However, as I was saying in another post, Slayers SRAM saves may be unsupported in ANY SNES9x version, so that leaves just save-states to fall back upon for real-time debugging. Bongo will do the debugging. All you will need to do is send a save just before it happens and maybe shoot a screen capture when you see it.

All of this debugger talk concerns just major unknown glitches and crashes. 99% of your work will be pointing out simple edits that will be addressed at my end by adjusting and re-inserting files. We are looking for the usual typos, but also names that do not match between dialogue and menu usage; and also inconsistencies in the plot structure that we might have overlooked. i. e. We wrote Tyrell City when we meant Tells City. Many of these latter errors are caused by slight mistranslations or different spellings by different translators that we failed to catch the first time through. Red Soul is a master at catching these sort of things. Extra eyes always catch a few more. I expect this beta team to catch them ALL, hee-hee...!

Yeah, we've been surging since Friday night. This is a super game - nonstop humor. I love girl heroes! (heart) Let me send you an update. I'd really like you and TF to QA right behind the raw team. Yeah, and I wanna get Bongo` done so he can devote to CS, HHS, etc.

I have to say that I'm very impressed at how fast you guys are going through this. I'd offer to help with the testing, but I'm super busy at the moment (working like crazy in my spare time to try and get my Breath of Death VII RPG ready for Microsoft's yearly Indie Game competition plus work is about to get busy as well), but I'm really excited and looking forward to playing the game again once it's done, this time in a language I fully understand.

I believe you will be surprised at several things you see in this game, but if you want a beta now, send me a secure message to my D-D addie that you can click on at my member page.
