Here are a few more... Again, not sure exactly what the context is :(

Code:
.POINTER = $01BFB7
; Offset: $0001BFBB : 0
立っている (stood still)

.POINTER = $01BFB9
; Offset: $0001BFC2 : 1
近づいてきた (came near)

.POINTER = $01BFCB
; Offset: $0001BFCD : 0
帰っていった (went back)

.POINTER = $01BFD5
; Offset: $0001BFD7 : 0
おどった (was dancing)

Those are pretty close. The only changes are 立っている is more like "standing", or just "stand". It's like "Being in the act of standing".

Also おどった is "danced". "Was dancing" would be more like, おどっていた. It may depend a bit on context, but those are the changes I'd make. Otherwise it looks good!

I'm going to start putting a few short dialogue translation requests up here over the next few weeks or so. Some of the speech in the game touches on regional/ethnic dialects that can a bit tough to understand. For example, there was a town named "Myaa Town" where everyone says "myaa" at the end of their sentences. I only recently learned that it is part of the Nagoya dialect (the town is in Nagoya) , and it makes a lot more sense to me now. I will, however, definitely need to teach people about this in the game.

Currently I'm going over some dialogue spoken by a sea captain who utters a bunch of "ぞーい" at the end of sentences. Melonseller translated it as "y'know", but I can't help but feel that there'd be a better localization I could use. Anyone out there have any knowledge on this speech? What dialect it might be? I'll attach a complete example where you can see three (over)usages:

;  わしは日本ーの船乗り、ネモ船長だぞーい!
; わしの船「モヒカン丸」のオーナーは
; 大金もちのグラバーさんなんだぞーい。[key]
; グラバーさんの許可がなければ
; 乗ることは出来ないぞーい!

You could probably give him a catchphrase that he just abuses. An iconic catchphrase is from The Larry Sanders Show and is Hank "Hey now" Kingsley.

Yeah, it really seems like that's what they were going for. I may end up writing his lines in stereotypical "sailor talk". I'll have to try hard not to fall into pirate territory, though.
