Post subject:  Has anybody finished the game? [problem inside]

Hi. I'm playing the game, and I'm near the end I think. However, i'm having a problem, I wonder if it's a bug or if I'm simply a completely useless human being, hehe. Spoilers from here on:

Spoiler! :
I'm trying to open the door to Eternal Valley. I already have the two spells, Ganus and Vernos. Such spells, are, respectively, "Dynamic" and "Designs" (really original, guys, hahaha). The problem is: when I touch the pillars and they prompt me to write the spells, it doesn't work, I simply get the text "that spell is incorrect". I've tried to enter both spells on both pillars in a lot of different ways: using capital letters, using normal letters, capitalizing only the first letter, leaving a space at the end, leaving a space at the beginning, etc, etc, and to no avail. I've been trying for HOURS and I don't know what is happening but it's driving me insane.

I'm using ZSNES 1.51. If you need, I can send you my savegame if it helps to solve the problem. I hope I haven't done anything that would have caused a game-breaking bug, I'd hate having to start it again from scratch :(

Thank you very much.

More than likely this is caused by using save states (assuming that you have used them). Simply save the game (real save to srm, not using save states), close your emulaor, reopen the emulator, run the rom, load the game (normal load - not from a save state), and try it again. Hopefully, everything will work for you!

YAY, using the ingame saves has worked! I feel so stupid now, I remember reading in the patch info that using savestates could cause strange errors and glitches like the one I've had, but I simply forgot. Thank you very much, Draken.

No problem! ;)

I can tell you that I ran into the exact same error when I was beta testing.

I think that's specifically an issue with Zsnes. I didn't have an issue with bsnes .72.
