Cool news!

I have two small questions:

I was walking around the overwold and suddenly I found a group of enemies that have different colors and summon each other until there are 5 of them. Thing is, that sometimes their summon skill has an empty text box:

I couldn't get more screenshots because they summoned a red one and it proceeded to kick my ass in one attack (Some of these new enemies are pretty challenging) and I couldn't find them again.

The question is, is it normal? Because i've seen a few of these guys and they seem to be "trolling" enemies, like the upside down variety, which look like a "joke" enemy and recover health from elemental attacks.

The other question is, some items have "Invented Item" as a definition, like Iron Scrap.

Are they crafting items? Because the Invented feels like they're already "made", although i can see it that way because english is not my first language and i may be screwing up the sense of it.

Sorry if the last question is silly as all hell.

Yeah, Items like Iron Scrap can be processed at the Lab in Dorado City, check the desk in the large room in the back and Dr. Deep will offer to invent items from those.

You are the second person to find those strong little weird foes with an occasionally empty summon box. I saw a few about three years ago and never could find the string that should drive it. To find it, we would need an SNES9x V143 save-state right before it occurs, and is almost impossible to do. When you did see a summon message, what did it read exactly?

You're spot on with the ingredients. Our next revision will identify these: "Fabrication Item".

Spoiler! :
I never found the Invention feature in the game myself. Draken found it during his beta test.

At a certain time in the game, go to Deep's lab. If you search on a certain spot, Deep will race there and invent finished items for you if you have the "Fabrication" items.

Here is a very raw machine translation from a Japanese site. If someone could untangle these invention feature details for the world, that would be super!

It took a while, but at last I found these guys again, and after some time being pranked by them, here is a save-state for Snes9x 1.43 right before it happens, and another while the empty box is there if you need them:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/il0yenjn64js0 ... e.rar?dl=0

The boxes usually have a color's name, and then they summon one of his pals.
Like for example "Green!!" "Yellow!!" "Blue!!". The thing is that sometimes they say "Yellow!!" and a green one may appear, I think it's random and the name of the skill doesn't matter.

The red ones also have a "Focus" message that indicates they're charging an attack for the next turn, and that attack hurts like hell.

Fabrication item sounds nice! About the table, I can take a look at all the items I have and try to mix them... Just one small question. Which NPC I need to talk for this? It doesn't seem to be the cactus Lady in Prickly or the old woman that does socks and other accessories.

Thank you. Looking into this right now.

Spoiler! :
Dr. Deep, you fiend! I didn't know that! He was staring at some machine and didn't know he moved to that point if you go to the table in that screenshot!

Perfect, after I finish up with some notes i'll go mad scientist for a while. Thank you a lot!

Okay, here is Hotfix # 3.

http://dynamic-designs.us/shellmonsterstory/Super_Shell_Monsters_Story_V1.00_hotfix_3.ips

This one should add four battle messages that Bongo` found just today that were not dumped in the file we inherited. These should fill the previously empty boxes that pertain to the strong little critters than can scream for help by calling out colors! Bongo` was able to do this quickly because Maeson provided an SNES9x V143 save-state immediately before the empty box(es) appeared in the game. Thanks Maeson!

This hotfix also adds dash (-) support to the 8X8 fixed font. This means Cure-all and Flap-flap are restored with hyphens in the battle messages. Thanks to Taskforce and Bongo` for collaborating and extensively testing to find a coding solution for this issue.

This update also expresses Elder Cactus' anger over pirates who burn Shelldorado's legends into EEPROM carts and apply labels with crudely-drawn title fonts!

Maybe a few more small items that escape my mind at the moment.

Any testing of these added features and feedback would be appreciated.

But foremost, enjoy the game!
