Argh! I absolutely hate having poor eyesight! :(

Finally found Picor's hiding spot which was behind the Inn of all places :( I really thought that his head sticking out on top of the inn's roof was a chimney, grr!

Anyhoo, I was surprised his mother handed me 300 coins for finding him.

Oh & I found some text bleeding from that guy who sells jeweled boxes in the checkpoint west of Arkasas:

And speaking of Arkasas, was that a tradeoff for lack of space as I keep reading the town's name as Arkansas LOL!

Thanks for your find, we'll fix that on the next patch revision.
I don't think Arkasas is an issue with lack of space, we had plenty of it
its really just coincidence that the romanization turned out like this.

That's one cool coincidence :)

As I type this the credits are rolling by (the ending was adorable). I really like the music here!

It took me just over 16 hours to finish this game, and by the end of it my party were level 40-44, the hired mercenaries were all level 47 and the Idols were between level 39-49 (Deli (39) - Siva (40) - Feat (49) - Love (45)).

To me, this is one of the easiest RPGs I've ever played (which isn't a bad thing--it's actually a nice break). I never had to heal at all, and I never even used any of my party magic (except for teleporting through towns). I get the feeling I may have overlevelled myself by quite a bit...

The translation was very professional and I never encountered any big glitches or problems, nor did I spot any mistakes (if I was to nitpick, then there were 2 small text overflows; one which has already been pointed out above me, and the other is in Fort Altoga where you talk to that priest who polishes up an Idol of your choice (the text overflow happens while he's polishing it)).

I had a really fun time playing this game, it was a charming experience.
Also, I've not been able to get into any games since I finished Breath of Fire back in December, so thank you for finally breaking that!

I'm really looking forward to your next releases, I'll definitely be sure to play them. :)

Thank you!

Found another one :D

Image

From that guy in the upper middle right room in the first floor of Thor's Temple.

@Zetshiro: Wow you're fast :)

I kind of agree with you on the game's difficulty because I too am currently over leveled it seems, everyone's level 13 at this point in the game.

EDIT: Addendum:

I'm now at Endel port, inside the Inn. I discovered that you can shove an item inside the fireplace & something might happen to it. I don't know what item to put in there that will not get burned & unfortunately Ritchie's Walkthrough doesn't cover this task. Anybody have a clue on this?

That little glitch is the result of either a dozen straight hours of writing by 4:00 A. M., or rushing!

Spoiler! :
I fiddled around with that fireplace some. For me, it seemed to be nothing more than a excessive item disposal system, but I could be wrong.

Oops, I guess I should use spoiler tags from here on out. Sorry about that.

I guess you defined the game well, Zetshiro, its charming, above all, and I
that will tend to draw in people regardless of what they expect, striking a sweet
middle ground between sleep inducing easy and teeth grindingly hard, all sprinkled
with a well developed plot and a dose of humor to boot.
Indeed, SS2 is all about charm; congrats on finishing it. ^.^

Found another text overflow/bleeding:

Spoiler! :
Image

This one's from the guard blocking the path into Illusion Valley after you've found & handed the Ring of Blessing & are escorting Lenna to Toran.

EDIT: Addendum:

And shouldn't his line be "... on the way to the temple...."?

EDIT: Yet again:

Whoops! And another, a typo this time, just a little west of the guard...

Spoiler! :
Image

Unless this one's intentional due to space constraints.

EDIT: OK, this one's my last one for today:

Spoiler! :
Image

Taken from the scene that occurs after you enter the other temple (not the Prayer Shrine) near the exit to Illusion Valley. Again another "to" is missing from the sentence it seems.

Appreciate the feedback. This first one was one of many strings edited among the file revisions that occurred after the final complete beta test. I had a feeling we should have done one additional beta test following those revisions.

The second one can't be changed unfortunately. If we spell out "silver", it'll cause a line overrun in at least one of the menus.

Keep them coming. I know we'll have at least one revision to SS-II. It's hard to build a game with as much dialogue as this one had and not end up with a couple of dozen needed fixes for a V1.01.
