It's good to see this project launch. I'm really looking forward to this game and the sequel. Good luck.
I wanted to ask though, do you need to play the first game to understand the second? Because Aretha II already has quite a lot of progression on it, it seems like it'll be released first. Also, is that the final font for the game?
Thank you so much for working on this. : )
It's funny, but I was pondering the same questions at 3:00 A.M. this morning. Well, to bring this one up close to where
A-II is right now would push both Bongo` and Filler really hard. When Draken, Taskforce, and I started working with the
A-II script last year and this, Filler had been translating on
A-II along since
Slayers was released, and Bongo` had the menu system in place for
A-II many years ago - the better part of a decade.
Now, we are dealing with technical issues on dialogue space for
A-II, and that has held us up some. The two games are so similar in "nuts and bolts" aspects, what works to resolve this issue for one will likely be the solution for the other. As for story creation, in a perfect world, I would prefer to know the
Aretha tale before I finish my part in
A-II, for it appears to be a direct sequel.
I'm sure we'll be discussing all of these considerations and weighing options. Right now, I have plenty to do with
Burning Heroes, and one of these days soon, more
Chaos Seed scenarios, as soon as Draken sends them.
Princess Minerva is also launched, so we have plenty to do at the moment that doesn't involve the unknown correlations of a series duo.
