Hey. Found this new video from a third-party source who is an enthusiast of the 90's consoles. When I saw his username I realised that he must have reviewed those many of those retro games on his old website http://www.gamingsanctuary.com/mini_reviews_SNES.html I guess. Read the detailed video description there. The video lasts for 38 minutes.

Princess Minerva [プリンセス・ミネルバ] Game Sample - SNES/SFC (Uploaded on Jun 28, 2016)

  • The second paragraph:
    Quote:
There are some notable differences between the PCE-CD and SFC game, most notably that the PCE-CD game has a superior soundtrack, more graphics and animations, less censorship (such as blood and more provocative clothing that was censored on the SFC game as well as some non-censored nudity, among other things) and additional game mechanics (deities existed in the PCE-CD game to alter the default growth parameters of characters and battle mechanics are a little different, such as escaping being speed/priority based). The SFC game has altered cutscenes and shows females "dress-up" when they change armor, which is a novel addition. The SFC game also has more balanced gameplay, removing the deities (as they were unnecessary) and it gives players the opportunity to escape battle before being assaulted, which helps prevent players from being needlessly worn down (it does not always succeed).

Aha! I've found this Wiki sourced from the PC Engine's fansite page for this game! It's a good overview of the figure 'Minerva' and her originations!
Spoiler! :
Quote:
Minerva (/mɪˈnɜːr.və/; Latin: [mɪˈnɛr.wa]; Etruscan: Menrva) was the Roman goddess of wisdom and sponsor of arts, trade, and strategy. She was born with weapons from the head of Jupiter.[1] After impregnating the titaness Metis, Jupiter recalled a prophecy that his own child would overthrow him. Fearing that their child would grow stronger than he and rule the Heavens in his place, Jupiter swallowed Metis whole. The titaness forged weapons and armor for her child while within the father-god, and the constant pounding and ringing gave him a headache. To relieve the pain, Vulcan used a hammer to split Jupiter's head and, from the cleft, Minerva emerged, whole, adult, and bearing her mother's weapons and armor. From the 2nd century BC onwards, the Romans equated her with the Greek goddess Athena.[2] She was the virgin goddess of music, poetry, medicine, wisdom, commerce, weaving, crafts, and magic.[3] She is often depicted with her sacred creature, an owl usually named as the "owl of Minerva",[4] which symbolised her association with wisdom and knowledge.
Jupiter? Wow, the Juno satellite is trying to enter actual Jupiter's orbit in a few hours' time today! Let's hope that nothing goes wrong!
