Thanks for the welcome, everybody! I look forward to working on Princess Minerva, and I hope I can live up to filler's hype. :D

I am curious to know about the byte count for the script size. 343 files sounds like a lot, but I think the byte count will be more accurate as to the actual volume of text.
Bongo` passed along before the boards came up again that Princess Minerva's total main text count is 124,391 bytes. I e-mailed him back and asked if he could be a little more precise, hee-hee...!

That is the number that reps the total count of actual text read by my program. control codes equal 2 bytes counted. all the kana / kanji equals 1 byte for every two on file. ( When viewed only one char is seen ) I could have done a 1 byte count for control codes too by I decided to have a variable that felt like it evened out the script a tad. This is all 343 main script files. I have some ROM text files that hold names, class, etc...

I wouldn't have expected this one to be that large. I figured about 80k. Nice that it has a story that large. Hopefully it means a good long game.

Well, the script does sound pretty large, but still workable. RPGs tend to be on the text-heavy side, after all. :)

Bongo`, feel free to PM me with a link to the script or email it to me when you're ready, and I'll get started on it.

I wanna send it off but I need to check the files to make sure the control codes have no secret jump calls in them. I believe I got them all but I wanna be sure we get no surpriese when it's time to insert. That is where the crashes come from.

Yo, Bongo`... Where's the inserter and splash page?

Eien? (how do you prefer we call you?) I've heard you're a good writer. I think you'll enjoy working with Taskforce come production time. He's very passionate about character development. I've never known anyone who becomes so emotionally connected to the people in a good game. In fact, TF is the epitome of the vicarious "Role" in Role-Playing-Game! You should have seen how he fixed the young lady Centaur in Feda. Oooh, this is so exciting! The genesis of another amazing project! (Don't mind me, folks... I'm a loose cannon tonight!)

sorry for the delay. I got a bit of stuff going on at the moment. I will get to the projects again on friday when I get a day off from work. :)

As for Eien and the scripts, I will mostlikely send them off tomorrow. That wayI can check them on my lunch break.

Did you get the script archive I e-mailed your direction?

Just Eien is fine. Yes, I consider myself a decent writer. I do two drafts of each of my scripts, and I also translate manga (comics), so I think that helps with learning how to make dialogue flow better. I, too, tend to become emotionally connected to the characters in a game I'm working on, so I think Taskforce and I will work well together. : :)

Yes I did. Filler sent it to me as well. Thanks to both of you. :D

Also, I noticed several script files that have no Japanese text in them. Here are the file numbers:

0067 0054 0059 0105 0129 0138 0149 0156 0169 0205 0211 0229
0260 0267 0268 0269 0305 0308 0310 0311 0313 0350 0351 0352
0353 0354 0355 0356 0357 0358 0359 0360 0370 0371 0373 0374
0375 0378

You may want to have Bongo` look over these files to make sure there weren't any errors during dumping.
