Yeah, most basics have one major advantage over many other languages. You can dynamically allocate arrays on the fly instead of having a fixed size. Slightly more handy than having to copy the array to another larger array when you need more space. Both systems work but one is slightly less work :)

Phack26237: WHEE, I SIMPLY LOVE GIZMO!! Ya see, I took Pokemon and turned Pikachu into Pimpachu. Now Pokemon is Pimpamon, and Pimpachu and his bodyguard go 'round pimping out Pokeman. Yah, instead of battling, they now have this orgy of wild Klingon-style sex, hee-hee....

Mr. Mariosuperhacker: Heee! Just wait 'til you see Super Homario. Yep, tee-hee, I just turned The Princess into Luigi, an'--!!

Heh, man I forgot how amusing this was. These lines I wrote back then still make me chuckle.

FYI: I still haven't messed with Gizmo. I did translate most of Saint Tail though, and I'm now putting the finishing touches on the last of the text for the Rayearth RPG on Game Gear.

In the interim, I dumped scripts for the rest of the Madou Monogatari games on the Game Gear; Madou Monogatari A - Dokidoki Vacation, Madou Monogatari II - Arle 16-Sai, and Madou Monogatari III - Kyuukyoku Joou-sama.

I made a short series of YouTube videos on dumping the script for Madou Monogatari III if you want to see what I did for any reason. I wasn't able to edit these in my video editor, so they're a little raw, but it goes to show that it doesn't take too long to do some of this work, assuming the game is cooperative.

The Devil takes notes from Lina Inverse? That sounds about right.

Just watched your first video. It mentioned "Win Hex" which is a very early version of "WindHex" that I wrote 15 years ago.
I have updated it a few times since, but have only released one version. The one you are using is really old. :)
I don't think I even have a copy of the version anymore. O_o.

EDIT:
The newer version actually makes table creation go a little easier as well. :)

Heh, I mention in the video that I think you wrote it but I wasn't sure. I just grabbed it back in the day and kept using it. :) Maybe I shouldn't get too down on folks for still using ZSNES. Those in glass houses and all.

Have you made a newer version available publicly?

Windhex32 is still my go-to hex editor of choice! Support for tables is as functional as I need and I really like the compact window size so I can stack two or three of them on top of each other. Full-screen hex editors just take up too much space.

I must be doing something right because I do exactly that. I stack two or three of them up on top of each other whenever I'm looking at stuff.

I am actually working on a personal update here. It's a bunch of bugs that I had to squash and some things I didn't like the functionality of. Once I'm done I'll send you on your way. Who knows, we'll see.
