| Post subject: | Collecting Magatama in Legend of the Blue Dragon (Bushi S.) |
Legend of the Blue Dragon (Bushi Seiryuuden) Fantastic game! However, I am having a tough time reaching 800 magatama and only have a little over 400 and I am at the end of the game, having beaten all of the dragons. Do you have any hints and tips in regard to collecting (quickly ideally) the last 300+ needed to finally get to the last boss? I feel like this is going to take forever! Is winning battles under par the only way to gain magatama? Thanks for any help anyone can provide! |

And once you get under par in one battle, that becomes the new par so its not like you can redo the same battle. 800 is an insanely high number IMO. Really should have been 500 max and maybe 900 for the secret ending. But it is 800 and 1300. Have you played the game? Excellent game, but insane expectation required of the player to reach the final boss. Shame, because it drops a 9/10 game to an 8 or even 7... |

Well, I got the 800 required to take down the tower, 821 to be exact. Getting 421 took about 2 and a half hours. That is for the bad ending... I imagine to get from 821 to 1300 it could take 3-4 hours, at least, maybe more. I figure getting from 1200 to 1300 could take a very long time. Not sure if it is worth it! |

Ya, maybe this was a precursor to achievements, being a 1997 game for the SNES. This could be released now and achievements could easily be added. It is quite addicting to try and complete battles in as few turns as possible. edit: I finally did get up to 1300, 1304 to be exact. It just takes a good long while if your focus is not on collecting them throughout the game. I think it took 4, maybe 5 hours to go from 400 to 1304. |
