Hey everyone! I just thought I'd pop in with a list of some Japanese PSX RPGs (mostly) I have been stumbling across this morning. Are any of these games worth playing?

Bealphareth
Bounty Sword First
Bounty Sword Double Edge
Brigandine: Grand Edition
Daikoukai Jidai Gaiden
Daikoukai Jidai II
Dragon Quest Monsters 1&2 (Worked on by Romhacking Aerie)
Eithea
FEDA 2: White Surge the Platoon
Forget Me Not - Palette
Front Mission 1st
G-O-D Pure: Growth or Evolution
Growlanser
Khamrai
London Seirei Tanteidan
Moon: Remix RPG Adventure] (Worked on by Steve Martin - RHDN)
Oni Zero: Fukkatsu ONI
PAL - Shinken Densetsu
PoPoLoCrois Monogatari I (Released on PSP)
PoPoLoCrois Monogatari II (Released on PSP)
PoPoRoGue
TearRing Saga (An ALMOST-complete patch exists)

Am I missing anything from that list? These were the most intriguing ones I could find for the PSX, and if any of these have already been translated, please let me know.

Also, if you know of any other great games from ANY system that haven't gotten the English treatment yet, please post them! :D

The PoPoLoCrois Monogatari games I think were released on one package for the PSP. I played them and I didn't think they were that good. Dragon Quest Monsters I think is fairly close to being released with a translation patch at Romhacking Aerie.

This list needs Bounty Sword Double Edge, the sequel to Bounty Sword for Super Famicom!
Two really beautiful RT TRPGs!

And there was also Bounty Sword First, which is a port from the Super Famicom version of the game

It doesn't seem like a typical RPG, but Moon: Remix RPG Adventure sounds really interesting. There's meant to be a team working on it at RHDN, but I don't know its current status.

That's Brigandine game is being worked on by this weissvulf guy. He's been posting in the script help forums for a while now asking for help with stuff he doesn't understand. Eventually he's going to finish it.

There's probably a ton more interesting Japanese-only PSX RPGs as the game library is quite huge.

It's been over a year since I last posted and this thread itself is pretty old. However, I saw something I just had to comment on. Daikoukai Jidai, otherwise known as uncharted waters, is perhaps the greatest trading simulation ever created. I played Uncharted Waters New Horizons (the second one and last one in english) as a kid and loved it to death. I turned it on some months back and found it still has the same charm it once did.

With that said, I think translating Daikoukai Jidai 2 on PSX wouldn't make a lot of sense since its already in English on SNES. Daikoukai Jidah Gaiden on the other hand is rather obscure. There's very little of anything on it anywhere. You can find the opening on youtube and that is about it. I'm pretty positive it's not a remake of anything already done. It is it's own game but, as is the nature of gaiden is probably some type of spin off. Even so, I would heavily welcome any addition to Daikoukai Jidai's sad lack of English games. I hope to one day see Daikoukai Jidai Rota Nova/Porto Estado or Daikoukai Jidai Coata del Sol translated. One can dream.

Cheers.

On the small off-chance Recca reads this. I've always wanted to point out that their quote of ToS is perhaps my favorite quote of all time.
