Hm I couldn't possibly vote on this poll ^.^' several of the series mentioned have a place in my heart and I can't honestly name the best of them all, since all of them had ups and lows, as it inevitably happens with all forms of art (yes I consider well made games art, much more so than good movies for instance).

I think... you are being a bit too harsh Master Chen.
Its just a poll, not a choice that will decide the fate of mankind, just a small time killer, you know.

It was a tough choice, but I went for the Fire Emblem series. I mean, every game in that series has at least 30 characters. If you were to put all of them together, that would be over 100+ characters each drawn nicely and with their own stories. This is one of the things which I like most about this series. Each character has a past and a part that they contribute to the story, there's no faceless soldiers in your team like in Der Langrisser or Tactics Ogre. I also think that the Fire Emblem series is one of the most well designed SRPGs.

I like Fire Emblem for its rich plot lines more than for how its sistems are implemented, permanent deaths are just too much of a turn off to me.
I prefer Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy Tactics, since they deliver a good plot without being so punishing about occasional mistakes
(I mean the PS1 / PSP versions of course, the GBA / DS FFT games had very lame plots and settings, although it still delivered well core systems wise).

What part of series aren't you getting? That means your one most favorite Series not your several most favorite Series. Not your one most favorite game. It means the one series as a whole, including all game offerings encompassed in that series. It only needs one vote. If you have more than one, you can refrain from voting.

Umm, that was just absolutely being nit picky, seriously. I changed it like you said but did it really matter? You know what series I meant, and so does everyone else. If you want a poll posted. Feel free to ask a moderator to do so, the polls are limited to moderators for 2 reasons. One so we don't have 500000 polls at once. The second reason is to keep from having to moderate people and hurt their feelings. Once I've seen the usefulness of polls. In the future, this may change so that all users can run polls. Being positive instead of negative like you have been would be a good step towards that goal. However, you need to understand that polls only allow one choice. There are no multi-choice polls.
