I see what you mean. I liked (heck, loved) Secret of Evermore though, for one. Overly bashed, under rated gem.
Anyway, I just played and beat Lagoon. Another "meh" game. Nothing special, but beat it none the less. Tiny sword syndrome was the order of the day for that game, very annoying!
I just got Soulblazer and realized I have never played it but have always thought that I have. That ever happened to anyone? --- I think I always mistook it for another game and assumed I had beat it. But when I started my "replay" I realized I might have mistook it for another enix game, perhaps Brainlord. But this game rules! Sooo much better than lagoon!
Say, are any of the three snes Ultima games any good? I want to give one of those three a try, which one is best?
How about Wizardry? Never tried. Heard they were unforgiving and hard games. What is the most accessible snes Wizardy game? I liked Arcana which seems to be "Wizardry lite", good level of difficutly, any recommendations on where to go from there for similar snes titles? (saw youtube video of dungeon master and that game looks absolutely dreadfully boring and bland). Eye of the beholder still does not appeal. This looks appealing, style and animation wise, but again, hear it is waaay hard:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Naltk3aZ ... Ty9CtwABAAOn an action rpg stint these days between soulblazer, ys 3, lagoon, dragon view (can't stress enough how fun/awesome/under rated this game even in spite of the overworld), shadowrun, gun mans proof, gulliver boy (nice going guys) and neugier I have done exclusively action oriented rpgs - love em, gobble em' up, so I hope I like ULTIMA, what do you guys think?
I have a nice to play list now: finish soul blazer, Ultima (I think the Black Gate), Ys 4, Gundam suit 0079, Fire Emblem - mystery of the emblem, Feda.
I also really want to like the two Shiren the wanderer games, but they are too dang hard.
is Inindo: Way of the Ninja any good? Obitus? Two of the last snes rpgs I have yet to play, never really hear much about those two.
