I thought this would be fun to hear since we have posters from all around the world. My favorites would be: Baseball: Los Angeles Dodgers Football: San Francisco 49ers Basketball: Los Angeles Lakers I couldn't really pick a favorite team for soccer (football) or hockey although it was fun to notice the USA beat Canada in the Olympics. It made me check out video of the 1980 Miracle on Ice which happened before I was born but must have been an amazing event to attend. |

I watched the last few moments of the USA / Canada game and it was exciting to see the diving goal in an empty net. What a hustle play! |

Like Red Soul, I'm not really into watching sports on TV either... I usually only watch tennis as it's pretty much the only sport I play and actually like. There's no teams there. Only single and double matches. I sometimes watch soccer, when it's the official games (FIFA and the European match ones). Ironically, even bowling and darts seem more interesting than baseball and hockey, hahaha! |

Well, if sword matches were a sport, I'd watch that (read: not flouret fencing...that's sad) |

Red Soul wrote: Well, if sword matches were a sport, I'd watch that (read: not flouret fencing...that's sad) Same here. I would watch kendo, now that's cool! Technicially it's a martial arts. Ken -> sword; Do -> Way. Kendo -> Way of the sword (literally). However, I've also seen it being called a sport. Webster's Dictionary: Kendo: Stylized swordplay in which bamboo swords are used: a Japanese sport. Of course, if you want more info, you'll have to dig deeper past the wikipedia articles. Heh, heh, I was lucky enough to get my hands a few years ago on a katana from an Asian mall. It's great for drawing as you can place it in any angle for reference. Unlike in a drawing where you only have one angle to see it in. You guys should have seen how many people there were when they were selling them! The price ranges were strange too. From as cheap as ten dollars to more than a thousand. Mine was about fifty dollars, I can't quite remember the actual price. That mall is an awesome place for anime and the like. You can get some pretty good deals if you know how to bargain. Too bad it's rather far from where I live. I haven't gone there in years though since I'm pretty much broke these days. ![]() As for darts, I remember that a person named Jenkins was a champion. |

NFL - I root for Oakland Riders because there play polish guy Sebastian Janikowski. NBA - Here I symphatize with Orlando Magic because there play other polish guy - Marcin Gortat If about non US sports, I'm from central europe, so I have to love soccer. I'm very patriot, so I like only polish clubs and don't care about some Real Madryt or ManU. If about polish club, I'm fan of Wisła Kraków actual champion. In Poland Wisła is called "The White Star", easy guess why =): ![]() |
