I'll probably not post this one over at RHDN.. I figure he'll be able to take care of it pretty easily. ;)

This is a place/address. "Sanjo-Dori, Ikedaya". Could probably go for "Sanjo St." or "Sanjo Street". Looks like it can be called "Sanjo-dori street". :P http://www.pref.kyoto.jp/visitkyoto/en/ ... /st_sanjo/

"Ikedaya" apparently is the site of an historical incident appropriately titled the "Ikedaya Incident". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ikedaya_Incident It's also mentioned in the link previous to this one.

EDIT: The insertion looks good so far btw!

The Devil takes notes from Lina Inverse? That sounds about right.

Wow, thanks Filler! I knew it was something address-related, but I couldn't quite figure it out! :D

Thanks, filler. Once i saw the date and then the translation for Sanjo-Dori i got all lost again. I guess it helps to know some history behind the message. But i now need to know how to format and use this. I was thinking of just using random text, but i was not sure if the text was used as part of the intro / attract mode event.

That is a good question, cause even if you use

07/05/1864

You still go over the allotted space by 1 char.

Only option may be to use.

7/5/1864

Sanjo St will just fit the given space. But again only without the period.

Everything is 1 letter short :(

Well, the good thing about this text is it is all sprite tiles, stored in an uncompressed format. So we can get the text to fit in there depending on the font used.

I would suggest to leave towngraphics like signs and such japanese to keep the edo period-feeling alive.

These are battle spell calls. The red one is a big kanji that appears at the end of the game with an event.
