The game appears to play just fine in Snes8x for Win8 (phone) - from splash through complete intro to first save point inside Karla's mansion and first NPC encounter outside the house (Chapter 1 - "The Gray Witch").

Bang-up job, RS, Bongo`, Recca, and team! Can't wait to see how the isometric dungeon paths and virtual D-pad get along in right and left turns, hee-hee...!

Yes! Exactly! A release! :) I was hoping for ChaosSeed ( grumble, grumble, GRUMBLE ) but that darn game is just evil!

Hi, it is stated in the readme you need 2,621,952 but all I can find after, like ten attempts, is mostly 2.621,440. So close yet so far. I know, after patching in the past, the slightest difference matters. Can anyone help me please? I've never had such a hard time finding the required size.

CONGRATS on what is surely to be another job well done. Look forward to getting this sorted!

Thank you, DoubleDvideogames. Lodoss does have quite a long history and we are happy to bring the game to the community as well as fulfilling what we firmly believe would be LNF's wishes as well. I assume that you are having problems patching. I actually believe I was remiss in mentioning in the readme that the ROM should have its header removed before the patch is applied, that must be why you are stumped there.

Edit: Then again a header present would yield a larger size than the one you are getting. Maybe try patching from different sources?

Edit 2: Also is this difference being shown between the "size" and "size on disk" fields?

But mine is short by 512 bytes so does that mean I need to add a header? I am kind of confused.

edit: They both read (2,621,440 bytes) - size on disk and size. On the internet, it said a header is usually 512. But when I added one it did not work on the emu. And 512 is the difference between the copy I have and the number stated in the readme.

It's a long shot, but try patching your headerless rom despite of the size difference.
A header indeed should not be present.

Thanks for your patience. Did not work but I will come back to it in a few days. Really excited to play this! I got Inotia 4 on the iphone to keep me busy for a bit which is a decent game.
