I've been out of action for a while due to serious illness (and the pre-Christmas season rush at work), but I'll quickly throw in my two cents on 如意.

Given the Chinese mythology link, I'm pretty sure it's a reference to this:

NB: For most of these attack names, I tried to go for short or localised names to save on-screen space and make them sound cooler. On the other hand, I also wanted to preserve the links to Chinese mythology. For example, I saw "Minotaur" in the item list above, but it's actually a reference to a character from The Journey West. Might be worth finding a good translation of the story and see if you can find a nice name for him - often goes by things like "Ox King" or "Great King of the Mountain". Either way, I'd avoid mixing in Western mythology if possible...

Cool! Thanks or the insight! Wanna weigh in on any of the translations we have done in your absence. I really want to keep this game very "eastern" when writing/editing the scripts. I plan on changing all words that pertain to western mythology and religion, so please feel free to pipe in.

Good point about not adding gratuitious western mythology and checking the chinese links througly. On the other hand, before you delete ALL the references keep in mind the game does have western characters and enemies on purpose, contrasting with the asian themes. So I'd be careful to keep actual western references in. I'll try mark to mark those items that I think are western and should be checked carefully.
(ie.- I don't think keeping Satan's Head hurts, maybe the developers had a good reason to use that. Definitely sounds like an item dropped or used by western enemies).

So, what in the world did you get a-hold of? (Or was it the other way around...!?)

I guess it was just a 24-hour stomach virus. It sure did kick my butt though. I was up vomiting every hour or so during the night and woke up without any energy and scared to eat anything. I slept most of the day, and I NEVER get that much sleep... Hehe. My neck is killing me now from spending so much time in a reclined position. Maybe I can another day off....? Just kidding

Did you have the stomach flu or was it something else? I remember having the stomach flu when I was a kid years ago. It was pretty awful, but not quite as bad as the regular flu. I remember staying home a week from school even though it had only lasted one and a half days. I was a rather sly guy in my youth, heh!

Oh by the way, the progress here is looking great! Thanks Draken and everyone else for your efforts!

The doc told me that it was a mild form of food poisoning. I think that the medicine they game me just made me feel ten times worse though... It was awful stuff.

Progress on Chaos Seed keeps moving towards a finished product, though I still have quite a bit of work left.
