I've been trying to find a scan of Burning Heroes' manual and world map. Since a lot of Japanese games manual scans have been put up on this website, I was wondering if anyone had this one lying around too. I know the game was just started on, but good luck with it. When the translation is finished, I could definitely proofread it if it is needed. This game and Hourai High are the two translations I am looking forward to most.

I didn't realize that was even on your to do list. Don't feel like you have to be in any hurry to post it up, I wasn't even sure if you guys had the manual. There is just not much info on this game and didn't have any luck finding a scan online. Thanks for the reply.

Whoa, you guys have the manual scans for Burning Heroes?! Awesome, I've always wanted to see it. I've only seen the box art and a Japanese magazine that was talking a bit about it. If I may ask, do you guys also have the manual scans for Record of Lodoss War?

The complete Lodoss game with box and dox are en route from Japan as I type, due to arrive at my home in a few days. I also saw that a complete Lodoss game guide was available, some 160 pages or thereabouts, but I didn't order it.

I will scan the BH manual today then upload it and give TF the link. It would be nice if someone translated that manual. You did all the misc files, so I'm sure the charts in the manual would be easy to match. Just need someone to do the artwork and translate the dialogue. Since data is scarce on BH, a manual translation would be quite useful. No world map, though. In BH, you jump from place to place same as Slayers, no overland trekking Dragon Warrior-style.

I keep searching for a complete Hourai High School, but Slayers is also en route from Japan. I will scan its manual when it arrives. I also have manuals for Aretha-II and both Albert Odysseys in hand.

Awesome, thanks WildBill! So far, my favorite characters out of the four main heroes are Ryuu and Raira (Laila). I'll try to see how much I can translate, but it is a bit text heavy. The misc files were mostly easy item and menu names such as "attack", "defence", "weapon", "armor", etc. The BH manual scans actually contain real sentences paragraphs. Well, I'll try to see what I can do, but I hope that someone who is actually 100% fluent in Japanese will come along and offer to translate...

Edit: I've also just noticed something strange. In the game, Gaou has brown hair, but on the manual pictures, he's blonde with Naruto style cat like whisker lines on his face. Strange...

I guess we do a better job of communicating and paying attention to details than a lot of the commercial entities do.

I am really looking forward to getting started on the task of helping build this game. Why, Bongo` asked me just two days ago about the status of BH and whether we were waiting on him to do something. Well, in Bongo`-ese, that translates to, "What's the holdup fellows? Why isn't this game moving along!?"

What we are lacking is a few translated blocks in the main dialogue at the very beginning of the game. Noname345 tried to send me a file the other day, but the link seemed to be broken. I still haven't heard back from him on that, even though my e-mail would work, as before. I suggested to him that the script was so huge, would he mind if I tried to recruit more translators to help push things along. He said that was fine, so I am working on that task as we speak.

Does this game have a lot of hacking issues that have to be dealt with or is the primary issue only the translation needs? I hope this game doesn't pose as many problems as Mystic Ark. I hope you can find another translator or two, I'm sure this game has a lot of text and Noname345 has his own projects that he is working on too so he must be a very busy person.
